A neighbor was recently diagnosed with a very aggressive brain tumor.
The treatment is complex. Their finances are slim. His wife is
traumatized and has never seen a checkbook. I feel like they have
fallen through a hole in the ice and I am trying to pull them out
without falling in after them. They depend on me and Jackie for nearly
everything including feeding their dog when they are at the hospital.
They let the doctors make all the treatment decisions, but ask me to
explain them.
