WAY TO GO CHUCK. . . .
Wishing you and Jackie and all our friends a great 2008.
In February I will celebrate . . .fifteen years. . !!!! ! !!!!! !!!! yeah 15 yrs. of surviving the monster's onslaught and living to meet two grandsons, major milestones in my life and many others opportunities and events and things that have helped me grow and celebrate and learn. . . It had tried to hide on me and the medical community was there for me, and wouldn't let me give up. . . and it took a team of great doctors to find it and cut it out of me just in time, before it spread. . . it was a fast growing type of breast cancer that has now been all but eliminated. I went through chemo, a lumpectomy, and radiation treatments "to be sure" for over a year. Thank God for my dear Drs. Chandler and Dr. Murray, who held my hand and gave me courage to face the battle.
I rejoice in this life. . . I will turn the big 65 this Monday. . . yeah New Years Eve. . . I will honestly say, I wouldn't know how much joy there is in this life if it wasn't for the founder of this website. . .and all the folks I've met over the years, because of this place to come to as Survivors. . . a real place of living and sharing and rejoicing in each minute, hour, day, week. . . year. . . of life. I keep on keeping on in honor of those who weren't as lucky as me, and glad they touched my life in special ways and gave me hope. . . I try to give hope to others and tell others about all those who've met me over the years. I try to turn the tears into smiles. . . just as the founder of this website did for me. (do ya hear me Jimbo ? ? ?)
Sending wishes for a very happy new year. . . a 2008 filled with joy, love, peace, good health, courage and curiousity (to find out what will happen next). a special thanks to Chuck and Jackie for keeping this going. . .
Love ever. . . Evie in NJ. . . aka . . . the Joisey girl.

My family & friends,
Yesterday Jackie & I drove to Runners' Alley in Portsmouth to claim my
free jacket for running 5 races in the Seacoast Race Series this year.
The jacket is great and I will wear it when I run in cold weather.
The jacket was free. I only paid $180 for race entry fees plus $80 for
transportation to and from the races plus the $1 I paid for losing one
of the races to my buddy.
On the positive side I was paid $4 from my buddy for the races I won;
received 6 imprinted t-shirts, 1 hat, 1 pair of socks, 1 key chain, 2
pens, 8 packets of biofreeze for muscle pulls, 3 gift certificates for
gatorade; ate 6 bananas, 5 bagels, 1 hamburg; drank 2 six-packs of
gatorade and 12 pints of water; and had a great time running with
10,000 others.
Next year I have my heart set on earning another FREE jacket!
I uploaded a picture of the jacket to the photos section.
Shalom,
Chuck
