Nancy, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. You know all the things
that I would say to you about your mom's passing; it's very difficult
to loose a parent, not only because of the love and life that you have
shared, but because you are now the oldest generation. I was quite
young when I lost my mother, but I remember the feeling when my father
died....in addition to the grief I felt was the scary recognition that
my generation will be the next to leave. Perhaps that helps us fight
harder, I don't know.
Anyway, my friend, stay strong and keep on doing what you have to do
for you. You're in my prayers.
Love,
Marla
p.s. where in New York are you? We're thinking that if we have the
time when we leave Texas we'll be heading your way. New York and New
Jersey are two of the four states we have not visited in this great
country of ours. If we have time before we're due in Alaska for the
summer, and if the weather cooperates, we'll head east and north and
then across Canada on our way.
