Glad to hear you're doing well.....just know that it will continue to work
and all will be well.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in
a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside,
thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming ---
Wow! What a ride!!!!!

Thanks for your concern. This "leukemia thing" is a lifetime worry. I am
on oral treatment. So far the disease has been reduced to extremely low
levels, but it doesn't go away. We're not told we're in remission, we're
in
"response". That's because the disease will come back if those of us on
the drug
quit taking it. There are other drugs in trial that may even be better,
but
for now I'm grateful to be stable. I feel fine with only a few side
effects.
I can work fulltime and none of my coworkers even knows. There are cases
where patients lose their response to the drug. That's where the worry
comes
in. I try not to think about that. So far, I'm well and plan to keep it
that way.
Thanks for asking!!
Nancy
