thanks for the anninversary wishes. I was leary about the treadmill when I first got on, but the ones at my gym have so many ways to regulate that I set my speed -- warming up, walking, and if I were so inclined (I'm not -- I get shin splints really easily) running -- so there's no problem. If I start walking off the front or falling off the back, I just change the speed. And that bright red emergency STOP button is in front and on the side!
Hope your weather warms up there. It's cool here in San Diego -- with a light mist falling this afternoon when we got out of the movie with our daughter and son-in-law. We understand rain is forecast later this week.
Hope all is well with you and Jackie, and that Mother Nature starts cooperating.
Oh, while on board the ship, the cruise line (Holland America) sponsored and "On Deck For The Cure" day to benefit Susan Komen Foundation....I don't know how much money they raised, but many of the guests were wearing their shirts on Thursday. I am wearing mine now.

Happy Anniversary Marla and Dan,
Mother Nature doesn't seem to agree with my plans. She dumped a foot
of snow on us yesterday. But I pushed on. I spent the day shoveling in
the parking lot. Strange, I love to shovel, but raking is painful. My
mother doesn't understand that when she demands that I rake her yard.
As always this time of year the snow will melt in a few days and I
will resume running.
I've tried the treadmill a few times. I can't get the hang of it. I
either fall off the back or try running off the front. I had a
treadmill test two years ago to check my heart before surgery and the
nurse had to keep telling me to walk not run.
Shalom,
Chuck
