Subject: Lung cancer

Mr. Beckwith,

Update on my dad with the lung cancer in the left upper section.

My Dad had pneumonia about a month ago and was in the hospital. He has
problems in the winter time anyway and lately has had pneumonia once a year.
He is 83. He probably would not have gotten pneumonia if he had gone to the
doctor when he started feeling bad, 7 days prior. He had several problems
against him while in the hospital, pneumonia, dehydration, and a bleeding
ulcer. Long story short, he almost did not make it, but he pulled through
another experience and winter. Lots of praying and faith helped. He is
recovering and getting back to his usual self, but still a little weak.
Once again, Pa is driving Mom around anywhere she needs to go.

While in the hospital, Dr. Bergen, Lung specialist, took x-rays of Pa's
chest and could not see through the scare tissue from the radiation and
pneumonia (I now believe it was not a good idea to do radiation, lots of
side affects). Dr. Bergen ordered a scope down his bronchial passages.
After he was finished, the doctor said he was very pleased with what he saw,
the passages were clear. The cancer had blocked some of the passages in the
past. Anyway, they scheduled an appointment for him, on the next Friday,
one week away. Funny thing is that they called the following Wed. and
canceled the appointment. They said everything was good and no need to come
in, they made his appointment for six months later. One year ago, in
January, while in the hospital with pneumonia, he went through this same
process and they called him in for the appointment to tell him he had lung
cancer.

A year ago, when Pa went in for the consultation for radiation, the
Radiation Specialist said, "This radiation treatment will not eliminate the
cancer it will just slow it down. The cancer will grow back again. All we
are trying to do is slow it down to give you more time." I know that God's
healing power for my dad was provided to us through two methods, healing
prayer and your contact. If you had not provided us with the information on
FLAX oil from your experience with close death and cancer, we would not have
been able to figure out the cancer fighting capabilities of Flax oil with
lowfat cottage cheese. People just do not understand when I tell them that
this combination stops cancer.

I believe the cancer is not a problem in his lung now but the affects of the
radiation will be there always. He may still have some cancer in the lung
but I do not believe the cancer is life threatening for him. The side
affects from the radiation is another story. He was coughing a lot after
the radiation, they said it was normal. His chest and left arm have been
sore at times. I know there is lots of scar tissue in the area where he was
radiated, probably not much lung function either. Radiation hurts
everything in its path.

Pa has faithfully been taking Barleans Flax Oil, (four tablespoons mixed
with 1/2 cup cottage cheese every day), since June 1999, at the end of the
radiation treatments, this is when I heard from you about the Flax oil.

We are just glad to have Pa around another year. He believes in the Flax
oil now and does not regret taking it all this time. I believe the benefits
from Flax oil are many and even for healthy individuals, it is essential. I
will keep you posted.

Thanks for your help,

Tony Dortch
