Acid Alkaline Imbalance
Over acidity, which can become a dangerous condition that weakens all
body systems, is very common today. It gives rise to an internal
environment conducive to disease, as opposed to a pH-balanced
environment which allows normal body function necessary for the body
to resist disease. A healthy body maintains adequate alkaline
reserves to meet emergency demands. When access acids must be
neutralized our alkaline reserves are depleted leaving the body in a
weakened condition.
The concept of acid alkaline imbalance as the cause of disease is not
new.
In 1931 Dr. Otto Warburg discovered that "To become Malignant Cancer
must have a low oxygen, strong acid environment"
These conditions may be largely necessary for normal cells to BECOME
malignant.
In 1933 a New York doctor named William Howard Hay published a
ground-breaking book, A New Health Era in which he maintains that all
disease is caused by autotoxication (or "self-poisoning") due to acid
accumulation in the body:
Now we depart from health in just the proportion to which we have
allowed our alkalies to be dissipated by introduction of acid-forming
food in too great amount... It may seem strange to say that all
disease is the same thing, no matter what its myriad modes of
expression, but it is verily so.

More recently, in his remarkable book Alkalize or Die , Dr. Theodore
A. Baroody says essentially the same thing:
The countless names of illnesses do not really matter. What does
matter is that they all come from the same root cause...too much
tissue acid waste in the body!

Arthur C. Guyton, M.D., who is considered the world's most recognized
author on human physiology, has spent the better part of his life
studying the pH or acid/alkaline balance of the body. In
his "Textbook of Medical Physiology", which is used to train medical
students, he states, and I quote, "The first step in maintaining
health is to alkalize the body. The second step is to increase the
number of negative hydrogen ions. These are the two most important
aspects of homeostasis."
True for MOST people in general. The opposite is true for others.
Furthermore, foods classified as "alkalinizing" are actually
acidifying to people who are oxidative dominant, and likewise
for "acidifying" foods (Wolcott).
This would lead to the fact that everyone should be taking
antioxidants, but that would be a different message.
The reason that calcium is important is that it is a alkalizing
mineral.
Simple test to check your saliva pH. First thing in the morning
before you do anything go to the bathroom bring up saliva 3 times the
first 2 times spit it in the sink. The third time wet a pH test
strip. Healthy people have a pH of 7.0 to 7.5 people with Cancer have
a saliva pH of 4.5 to 5.5.
When a person's body becomes acidic they start to get a condition
called Blood Rouleau. This condition is when the red blood cells
stack up like pennies in a coin roll. The red blood cells are
responsible for transporting oxygen and nutrients to the body and
removing waste. When stacked up the red blood cells cannot transport
as much oxygen and nutrients to the body and waste removal is also
reduced because of lack of surface area on the red blood cells. I
person in this condition often feels tired and tends to over eat
because their body is starving. More protein and carbohydrates are
consumed which leads to more Blood Rouleau due to the fact most
carbohydrates and proteins are acidic. In this condition the white
blood cells tend to be smaller and less active which allows people to
get sick easier due to less responsive immune system.
Now I know very little about you but I hope this is making some sense.
This condition also tends to lead to crystals in the blood like
cholesterol and uric acid.
Do you know of any diet high in protein? A diet high in protein or
high in carbohydrates can cause the body to be acidic.
A person must get and stay alkaline to be healthy. I have listed at
the end of this page alkalizing foods that will help. Eat as many of
these foods raw (or cooked at less than 180 F) as possible
When a person's body becomes alkaline the red blood cells can then
take on more oxygen and nutrients to the body and remove unwanted
waste. Think about a roll of coins and all the surface area it has.
Now think about 50 coins and all their surface area. Now think about
the coins in a roll. Which has more surface area to do the work?
Which would allow better filtration in the kidneys?
Once a person is alkaline you can understand how they can function
better and on less food, which leads to weight loss, less uric acid
crystals, less pain, and the body working like God intended.
What do we clean our pets with? What do we clean ourselves with? What
do we clean the inside of our bodies with?
Drink water! The body is around 70% water not tea, soda, or juice.
If you want to get (or stay) acidic drink sodas. They all have a low
pH.
NOW for the big product push. Water, fresh fruits or vegetables
Want to get alkaline?
People should stop all soft drinks, remove as much white flour and
sugar from their diet as possible. Eat fruits 1 hour after
other foods. Drink lots of distilled or highly filtered (RO) water
with lemon juice to help alkalize the body.
If you own a juicer you can juice fresh alkaline fruits or vegetables
this is very good to help get the pH up as well.
Getting your pH up is also very good to help remove kidney and gal
stones.
I recommend boosting the immune system. This allows the body to put
up a good fight and often win the fight against disease.
According to Gonzalez (& others), alkalinizing DOES enhance
immunity.
pH CONVERSION TABLE
Listed below is a conversion chart showing the pH scale. Remember the
pH range is from 0 on the acid scale to 14 on the alkaline side, 7 is
neutral. When pH measurements change by one number, this represents a
10 to 1 difference in the acidity or alkalinity of
a fluid. The number increases by 100 to 1 for a two number shift and
1,000 to 1 for a three number shift and so on times 10, like a
Richter Scale for earth quakes. The numbers listed in the
Calculations column represent the amount of zeros after the number
1 in the Acid/Alkaline column.
