Wanted: Your "Wish List" Of Cayce Questions
Hello to the group.
I am an author/journalist based in Canada currently completing
a book on Douglas James Cottrell, the only man who is likely,
within his own lifetime, to shatter Cayce's record of 14,000 DT
health-based readings.
Cottrell has been doing 2-3 DT readings a day since the 1970's.
Based on appointment books kept by his spouse, he has now
completed slightly over 10,000. He has been featured on several
TV/radio shows in both the US and Canada (most recently on the
open-line Blanquita Cullum show out of Washington, DC) and, in
the 1970s, was the official "psychic archeologist" on the project
LORNE GREENE'S ATLANTIS.
Here is my question to the group: If you had the opportunity to
ask Edgar Cayce -- or someone who could replicate the Cayce
ability -- a question, what would that question be?
For example (this is one of many), Cayce said many times that
almonds could prevent cancer, but was never asked to explain
"why." Would your question be "Why do almonds prevent
cancer?" Or would something else strike you as much more
urgent?
I intend to use questions submitted in this manner to complete
the book project.
FYI, here is a sample of extracted material from a Cottrell
session:

Q: "It has been almost a century since Edgar Cayce first
suggested a handful of almonds each day would act as a
deterrent to cancer. Examining life in the 21st century, is there
any other substance or combination of substances which we
can add to the list?"
A: "To avoid cancer, do not put tainted food into the body, but to
eat a diet that would be more fruits and vegetables, natural
sugars rather than artificial, and keeping the spices of the body,
and the metals that would be taken in, `regulated;' that is, not to
follow any one specific dietary direction all the time. This would
be the subtle way. We would find there are other influences that
would help the body — drinking alkaline water every day would
add years to a life, for it would remove the basis of attack through
the parasites, and through the viral and bacterial conditions in
the body. As to anything better, understand that anything that aids
the removal of poisons, parasites, and makes the body
insulated against viral and mucous conditions would be the
best. Understand the process of cancer — any toxic substance
could trigger any tumor or cell that would then appear layered or
thickened, because it has enveloped a parasite or a germ within
the same. Eliminate the cause and you eliminate cancerous
cells! To some degree the almond facilitates this, as we have
given. The pursuit of alkalinity would be, to a group or race mind,
the best source, the first line of defense, as we see it."
Q: "What percentage of the population of North America has an
imbalance of the thyroid gland and therefore could benefit from
regular intake of iodine, either as a Atomodine or some other
method?"
A: "To those that would eat at the normal diet, the percentage
would be very high indeed. This would be somewhere in the
neighborhood of better than half, although it could be as low as a
third. Therefore, from one third to one half, you see."
Q: "The painting of the sole of the foot with Lugol's Solution prior
to sleep has been given in prior readings as a method of
"checking" whether an individual is in need of iodine
supplementation. If after 24 hours the stain has been absorbed,
or disappears, this indicates a deficiency. Correct?"
A: "Indeed, for this can demonstrate the ability of the body to
assimilate the iodine and also to show if more iodine is needed,
for, if it is, the iodine stain will disappear by the next day. But if it
is still evident the next day, then the body has reached saturation
point of the iodine and the treatment no longer should be
continued. However, yes to the question."
Q: "For most of the population, again, in North America or the
Western environment, are we absorbing excess amounts of
chlorine through the showering process?"
A: "Or through the drinking water itself."
Q: "What would be the symptoms of excess chlorine intake?"
A: "If a person does not smoke, then the first symptom would be
that the teeth would be soft or that of the wall of the same would
weaken; also the luster or shine of the enamel would be
diminished."
Q: "What percentage of the North American population, meaning
mainly the US and Canada as you see it, has excess iron in the
blood, and why is this a concern?"
A: "As we would examine sources, it would appear to be quite
high, somewhere between the 60% to the 80% range. This as to
the phenomenon of the body retaining the metal within the
same. Largely, it's seen as seen as lack of energy or lack of
movement, what you call sedentary lifestyle, and that of the food
being taken into the body being somewhat stored in the body as
fatty substances. Aggravated by obesity and sugar consumption
and what you call `processed' food. Processed food tends to
congest the blood and allow a high degree of sediments to
remain in the blood. More importantly, and a bigger concern, it
allows higher levels of the iron to remain in the system. The
danger here is that the arteries themselves become, we would
say, `hard,' but it would be more as if they would lose their
flexibility. There would then be congestion or damming up of
certain small areas of the artery preventing blood flow to radiate
out through any narrow part, or restricted region, at a joint in a
finger or a toe. And this would lead to gout, to poor circulation, to
lack of oxygen and deterioration of the skin and tissue in the
general region in which the blood has been restricted. This will
allow also the body to produce viral and bacterial conditions. For
usually in such a body there is a highly acidic environment —
that which is held on the acidity side is more apt to produce
disease, viral, and bacterial conditions in the body than one that
is more alkaline. To review, first there is impairment as we have
given to the actual artery, breaking it down or blocking blood flow
through the same. This in turn encourages the body's tendency
to build up plaque on the wall of the artery and restricts blood
flow through the same. This then adds to the body's inability to
fight off viral and mucous conditions."
