Mike, I wanted to make a few comments on your email.

Mike, do you honestly think that following conventional treatment for cancer
assures a painless death? You might want to join a cancer support group
(family members are frequently allowed). The groups in my area (Phoenix)
are usually full of cancer "survivors" who took conventional treatments, and
who are now experiencing a recurrence. I have attended many of their
funerals. I can say that watching them endure conventional treatments like
bone marrow transplants, gamma knife radiation & resulting brain swelling &
more drugs to control that, super charged chemo (since average dosages quit
working) was WORSE than dying, and harder on the family as well. They all
admit that they had been very naive because they thought that they had beat
the cancer.

Your point is well taken. There are plenty of charlatans out there preying
on desperate people, but not all alternative medicine is without proven
merit.

Almost the entire board of directors of the National Cancer Institute are
employed by the pharmaceutical industry. An average chemo treatment (1
session) runs between $2,000 and $5,000 a pop. You do the math. In the
recession from January to September of 2001 (prior to Sept 11), most sectors
of stock (technology, banking, oil) went down. Pharmaceuticals did not.

Well, even conventional docs will disagree with you on that.
