Hi, I'm Ginny and I happen to be a nurse. I've been doing a lot of reading on
the mind/body area of research namely by Deepak Chopra who uses an old Indian
practice of medicine called Ayurveda.  It's not religion.  It's literal
interpretation "ayurveda" means "life science".  Maybe the general population
doesn't know this, but your body already makes all the pharmaceuticals it
will ever need to cure any disease your body could contract.  Maybe you've
heard of interleukin and interferon?  Maybe not, but these are chemicals made
by our own bodies, and studies have proved that people who meditate (rather
than medicate) daily have much improved immune systems than those who don't.
I remember my anatomy and physiology teacher telling us that we've all had
cancer many times but our immune systems were functioning so that we never
even knew it.  Our white cells took care of it!  Why is it then that some
people do come down with cancer then??  I won't even delve into that one
because it's a loaded issue.  I've had melanoma myself.  I would urge you to
look into ayurveda or to get Deepak Chopra's "Training the Mind, Healing the
Body" tape series.  He and his partner go over how to meditate (believe me
it's so simple a child could do it and there's nothing religious to it) and
how to use sounds to heal.  After all, words are creative and the sounds that
make up the words can create healing.  I've used one of these principles in
the series and cured myself of stomach ulcers. (I had been on Prevacid which
worked fine until I stopped taking it.)  I know that's not cancer, but I
think we've been conditioned to think that cancer is harder to take care of
than an ulcer.  You'll see what I mean if you look into this.  If I weren't
so sure of this I wouldn't be telling you about it.  Let me know what you
think!  Ginny :)
