I have not posted often, but some may have followed me a little.

Hi,
If you die of PCa, I still believe it will not be a battle you could not
have won.
Cliff
Hi,
For those of you who have followed my situation at all, I will send a brief
update.
I will rehash the situation since Dec 9 when the PSA was 1.7.
At that time I took 3 tablespoons of flaxseed oil a day and nothing else.
On Feb 5 the PSA was 4.9 which was a rise of 3.2 in a little less than a
month.
I raised the Flax Oil to 5 tablespoons a day and began to really investigate
the use of Beta Glucan. I got started with 500 miligrams a day and upped
the vitamin C. I don't remember how much at the moment.
On March 26 the PSA was 8.4 a rise of 3.5 in 6 weeks. I increased the Beta
Glucan to 600 to 800 milligrams a day and added a little more vitamin C.
On May 9 the PSA was 12.7 which was up 4.3 in 6 weeks. Then I decided to
get more serious. I decided that having taken flax oil for ten years that a
little over maintainance should be enough and went to
4 tablespoons of oil.
I began taking 2500 mgs of Beta Glucan and 8000 mgs of vitamin C in additon
to the C in other supplements and diet. I added serrapeptase and Mega Zyme
before meals [at least 15 minutes to an hour] which was recommended to
digest the protein around the cancer cells so the immune system stepped up
by the Beta Glucan could get at them. Very recently I have added some
Spirulina which some think will aid in stimulating more macrophages.
I just got word this morning that a PSA taken yesterday, July 23, is 12.3
which is a .4 drop over the last 10 weeks. My Urologist assured me that the
PSA would continue to rise.
Recently a study was posted somewhere that concluded that the use of some
ground flaxseeds each day [don't remember the amount] may have an effect of
preventing Prostate and some other cancers. The statement was made that it
may reduce the PSA of newly developing PCa but had no effect on well
established PCa.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I do not believe there is any real research
being done in the Americas that involves the use of Flaxseed oil in
combination with cottage cheese or other sources of sulfur based proteins.
Rather, it is strongly discouraged by the establishment.
The above study would seem to indicate that there is something in the seeds
that combats PCa and other cancers. It is too little to make much
impression on advanced cancers, but it is there. It may be that those small
amounts find enough proteins to make them somewhat effective. Whatever it
does it does not make the cancers grow faster.
For more advanaced cancers the need may be for larger amounts and being
certain of the necessary sulfur based proteins.
The use of the seeds may be comparable to sending a little boy to do a man's
work.
I think of the message that I recieved describing a man with very advanaced
PCa who ate nothing but 30 tablespoons of flax oil a day and 5 cups of
cottage cheese who was pain free in 3 days and declared cancer free in three
weeks.
In no way would I want to try that. One doctor said he must have had a cast
iron liver and strong enzymes. However, it was surely a man being sent to
do a man's work.
I have read of MGn-3 being a strong immune system booster. The main active
ingredient I believe is Beta glucan.
I am wondering if the use of Beta Glucan in sufficient quantity with
sufficient vitamin C and proper protein digesting enzymes may not be the
addition to Flaxseed Oil that could make it completely effective in advanced
cases. I
will attempt to help find out.
I must also get the time and energy to get back to regular use of the
rebounder. When my brother had a PSA of 785 he was told that if he would
eat right and bounce five minutes an hour he would get over that.
He didn't do it so we will never know.
I shall continue the course on which I am and check the PSA again on
September 4.
