Hi Mark,
I work as a web designer, self employed. Since starting PD I've
realised that I'm stuck in a job that I don't enjoy, and I'm starting
uni again in psychology (my teenage dream) this year part time.
Althought business is slow, I keep my self busy with meditation,
working out, boxing (my other passion)...
This might sound stupid, but I don't agree with working hard on my
goals as a means of forgetting the past (I agree with working hard on
the goals, don't get me wrong) - but I find that the moment my mind
slows down, at night, for example, it all comes back anyway. I want to
tackle this problem head to head.
I guess my main problem is that I've been accumulating so much info on
this, that I have too many things to use. The Work by Byron Katie,
Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Power of NOW, etc etc. I am going to go
back to observing it, accepting it. I realised since I started CBT and
The Work, I've been making myself wrong for having these thoughts and
thats making things worse.
So...back to basics. It helps, I feel fine now. I'll wait till tonight
to see if it works.
