Rod,
Didn't mean to cast aspersions on your choice in websites. They may or may not be good. There are some good ones but many are just junk run by charlatans (many who have written books and conned people for decades - they do spend plenty to keep at the top of the Google listings though) and show the spirit world to be populated only by sweetness and light beings who want only good for the astral tourist. They also usually have a YinYang symbol on their site along with other Eastern or mystic symbols. YinYang was the symbol that in all there is half good and half evil with no pure good or evil. The spirit world is no exception. To send someone out without good and accurate prep is akin to send someone outside to see a rare flower and fail to warn them about the pride of lions that guard it and the cobra living at its base.
The internet has put a vast amount of information at our fingertips - but how much of the flood is vaild when anyone can get a website and domain going for under $10(USD or CAN) and add content at an internet cafe. Self publishing is easy now with open source page layout programs and a Kinko's on every corner. Much of what I have read on AP is still only in libraries and university special collections. Hard to find sometimes - but only if you limit what you read to the online version.

Oh - and stay away from the preset library - serious junk in this area. Real waste of time. Entrainment isn't really required if your mind is disciplined enough such as from long term martial arts training (not the dojo-in-a-box in a strip mall).

Not everything in the universe is benign and many aren't overly happy about an astral tourist disturbing them. The dangers are real and you need to understand why ancient shamans and mystics practiced AP ONLY when they absolutely had to. It isn't an multidimensional amusement park.
