Antonio,
We have a guide on how to create Brainwave Entrainment and Subliminal Programs using Open Source Tools in our store on the web. It focuses on binaural beats.
As to posible ways to entrain...drum beats, two tuning forks x hz apart in frequency, any flashing lights such as light goggles or strobe (however even the blades of a ceiling fan blocking the light on and off can do it), bumps in the road if they are evenly spaced on a highway. As for audio mixing - pulse, low pass filtering, autopan, crossfeed and pitch modulation are common. Most of us who produced programs use our own custom built generators and usually have a few more methods that are proprietary to the company. Commercially, Transparent makes affordable tools to do each of these methods. Pulse is nice and very effective at levels as low as 15 - 20% modulation. At these levels it is noticable but not obnoxious when mixed with the sound mask.
Any rhythmic stimulus that can be perceived is capable of causing entrainment.
