There is tons of brainwave info on this website. I bought the software and love
it. you can use it to make your own entrainment CDs even.

I have one of the Wave rider EEG machines and have not had a chance to set it up
and try it. I think that using that you will be able to tell if the brain
entrainment is working or not.
