Most of you already know that Jennifer has gone to heaven today. I
am writing all of you to ask you on behalf of the family, Shirley ,
Jennifer's wonderful miraculous Grandmother who was her primary caretaker.
The best mother she could have ever asked for in this life. After speaking
to Shirley today, she informed me that Jennifer will be cremated, and there
will be services, a mass, and a burial held one day next week, in the later
part of the week. The name of the church that will be doing the mass is
called, " Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church" in Melbourne Florida. The
phone number to the church is 321-773-2783. The name of the funeral home is
Davis Sea Wind on A1A, the phone number is 321-254-1532 and the address is
735 Fleming Street, Sebastian, Fl 32958.
In Lieu of flowers I am asking you to send a monetary donation
directly to Shirley Jones. If you are writing a check just make it out to
Shirley Jones. This disease is not only emotionally devastating, but
financially as well. I know Shirley is going to have a very difficult time
trying to pay for this funeral, so I am asking you to please help her. I
know along the way, I, we have asked for a lot. We are forever indebted for
your generosity. Thank you so much to anyone who was ever even kind to
Jennifer, and especially for anyone who reached out to her, in the final
days, when I asked you to. It truly breaks my heart to yet have another
Friend die from this horrible illness. I was not excepting this to happen so
quickly. Shirley did tell me that Jennifer died at home, and in Shirley's
arms. I do have some peace knowing she is in a better place. Shirley told
me that Jennifer fought hard, but in the end the dialysis was just to much
for her body. This news comes just days before I leave for Washington. I
will be leaving Monday for Washington. I know that I will definitely be at
Jennifer's Mass, and funeral, so if any of you would like to ride over with
me, just let me know. Shirley said she was going to try for next Friday, not
this Friday coming but the next. It is about a 4 hour drive, and I plan on
staying the night so just call me, and we can make arrangements to go.
Thank you once again for all of your support throughout the years,
and so much with EB. Jennifer will be missed so much. She was so
instrumental in helping DEBRA, and all of the people who suffered from this
horrible disease. She is one of the stars on the current DEBRA video, and
she was ready and willing to fight for the "Bill" to get on the hill and
passed. If any of you wish to have a copy of that video, I can also send
that to you.
We will go to Washington with an Angel on our wings!!!
