Description

Sometimes there are issues that you would like to discuss with other carers, which are either very difficult or not appropriate to discuss with the brain tumour patient. This group offers you the opportunity to talk freely about your hopes and fears, sharing experiences and supporting others who are experiencing or have experienced similar challenges to those which you are facing.

Please ensure that you respect the right of all group members to discuss issues related to grief, faith, spirituality, practical issues and end of life care, subjects which can be very hard to explore for everyone concerned. Conversations will always be clearly titled to reflect their content, and you can avoid those that you wish to leave aside if you access the group through this home page instead of subscribing to email alerts.

This group has a particular emphasis on sharing constructive coping strategies, inspiring thoughts and invaluable resources available across the globe, to help each of us find many moments of peace and happiness in the midst of turmoil, and ultimately to emotionally survive whatever life may bring our way.

The group is run by Astro Fund, a UK based charity founded in April 2001 in order to focus purely on low-grade brain tumours, and in particular:

* raise funds for research and support projects,
* gather and share information,
* raise awareness of the challenges of living with a low-grade brain tumour
* and offer support to those whose lives are touched by this tumour type
