Fall

Fall (we call it autumn) has just finished here
in Australia and so winter has arrived. I enjoy all
the seasons for what they have to offer but find the
comfort that fall and winter bring the most
soothing.

Fall is always a very sad time for me, I feel it is
the transition season. All the gaiety of summer has
gone and the world is slowing down for the coming
winter. It seems as though there is more time to think,
to ponder and for me (as for most BPD's I suspect)
that is not such a good thing. Perhaps it is no
mistake that the season is called 'fall'?

I was
very sick last fall and spent a good chunk of it in
hospital and so this fall was very difficult and sad for
me. I have both good and bad memories of my
admissions, the emotions, the staff, the other patients, the
friends I made, the lessons I learnt, the whole process.
I always smile when I remember my time there but
there is also a tear trickling down my cheek.

This fall I struggled to live life in the real world,
dealing with real people and real situations; trying to
learn, trying to grow, trying to heal. Trying...that is
one step forward from last fall.

I wonder
where things will be next fall???

Thinking of
you all,
Jodi-Ann

Glad I found this club. I write, I do art, I am borderline. If there was no art, I would not live. I just need a place to be. Maybe I can here....
