Understand



I understand I did something wrong,

And yes, I know I must pay the price now for being gone.



I understand I have hurt you,

Now you are punishing me because that is what you had to do.



I understand you were mad at me,

For taking advantage of you letting me leave.



I understand you were confused,

For I did not come home when I was supposed to and you felt used.



I understand you were looking about,

Not knowing if I had been killed or if I was just out.



I understand you were sad,

Not understanding why I was being so bad.



I understand why I can’t go out; it’s a must,

For I have lost and now must regain your trust.



I understand it may seem like I don’t care,

But in my heart my caring for you and loving you is still there.



I now must apologize for my behavior,

I am really sorry, I do really care, please forgive me, I love you forever, and
in my heart love will always be there!
