Hi:
I was diagnosed with this disorder about 10 years ago. I know this,
because it was in the course of my university training and when I
graduated, I paid to get a copy of my records. When I first saw,
written in there, that diagnosis from my talk therapy sessions, I
went into denial. Read dozens of books, and still couldn't see it,
since I've been hospitalized and don't cut myself (I scratch,
instead).
I realize, now, that it is a correct diagnosis (because of my
suffering, anger, irrationality, etc., etc.), and it was hard to
accept, but I did. My question is, there are always examples given
of eminent people with bipolar illness--Lincoln and Churchill, for
example--but are there are lists of eminent people with BPD?
Thanks,
Nance
