The Poet's Dreams

The poet’s dreams
are riddled with seams of scarlet and chartreuse yarn
with sight to spare
why does she dare the ice to
be disarmed? Spirit.

Meaning:
Her dreams
have been repeatedly torn to shreds, only to be pieced
back together and mended by the yarn of
her own
acts of undying bravery (signified by the red of
scarlet) and the bold envy (bright vivid green
of
chartreuse) of those things she sees in the possession of
others. With the looming promise of yet
another
catastrophe, what makes her get up and try
again?

Answer:
The force within her that will deny her life if she
does not find some way to fill the emptiness in her
soul
(SPIRIT).
