Afterburn only ships from Alwyn himself and isn't in stores, but if you want
crazy Cosgrove workouts at the bookstore, check out The New Rules of Lifting
for Women. New Rules is not quite the same extreme fat loss plan as
Afterburn. It's more of an eat and build muscle plan, but swapping out fat
for muscle does tend to make people smaller even if nothing much happens
with the scale.
I just looked, ESE is 78 pages. If you understand the general concept, you
could try intermittent fasting without reading it. I found ESE most helpful
for explaining the research and health benefits of intermittent fasting to
people who thought I'd lost my mind. It's also important to understand you
don't diet AT ALL if you fast. You have to eat at maintenance level or above
(generally 2,000+ cals) on non-fasting days. It didn't trigger even a hint
of a binge for me. It made me a lot more relaxed about food and ended my
cooler-toting habits, but it really wigs some people out. I would not advise
it for binge-prone eaters.

Hello, how do you get the Afterburn book?

I'm thinking Eat Stop Eat but I HATE ebooks - I stare at this computer enough.
How many pages is it?
Is there anywhere else I can get Afterburn but less expensive? Not on Amazon
that I can see.
Thanks

I was also looking for something to read that would shake things up for me a
bit. I've been doing P90X (yup, stuck with it even after that painful,
almost-throwing-up day), and you were all right, I can feel it working!
Lately I've been snooping around this Cheat Your Way Thin book--looks
interesting, since no matter what I do or how strong I feel, I rarely go more
than two days without giving into some sugary treat. Has anyone read/tried this?
I'd love to hear your experiences with it.
I haven't read Cheat Your Way Thin, but Naturally Thin by Bethenny Frankel
rocked my world and totally changed the way I think about food. I also
remember reading Cheat to Lose or something like that from a former BFL
champ, but it didn't make much of an impression.

Can anyone suggest any good source to replenish electrolytes?
The reason I am asking - I saw my naturopath today (who is doing acupuncture to
treat my plantar fasciitis) and of course, she is looking at the bod as a whole
and not just the affected foot. So among other stuff, she did my body analysis
and the machine that she uses spits out a lot more than just the usual info re
BMR, BF%, amount of fat, amount of lean muscle mass, etc.
Turns out while I seem to be well hydrated, I lack water on the intracellular
level and I have way too much water on the extracellular level, which, she says,
is a way the body fights with toxins (by trying to dilute them). To make a long
story short .... she suggested this supplement to replenish my electrolytes (as
it is one way to increase the intracellular water) and sold me a container of
Endura. Later, when I looked at it, I decided right away that I am taking it
back because one scoop contains 29 grams of carbs and has 120 calories. (It
turns out that in addition to the electrolytes is also contains an unhealthy
dose of FRUCTOSE).
I am starting to feel that she treats me like a cash cow. The container cost $44
and it is good for 19 servings only. But it is the carbs & calories that really
irritate me. Especially when she told me that I wouldn't want to get my
electrolytes from Gatorade because it is full of SUGAR and other crap. Hah!!!
In general, I am not opposed to doing something about my electrolytes because I
do sweat like a pig with even a slight amount of exercise.
1. Did she do a blood test? If not her science is crap just like the "body
fat" scales.
a banana might do the same job and cost a lot less

That's not the exact same product I have, but coconut water is an
excellent electrolyte replacement drink. A lot of triathletes and
cyclists are using it. Whole Foods. More potassium than bananas, no
added sugars. The product I get is called "One".

Really? I didn't know that! I saw coconut water at our Kroger (Arkansas) I
think it was Dole product. (was thinking of trying it with rum ;)

Be careful of additives in a Dole product. The Vitacoco and One are
just coconut and water.

Are you talking about besides juice? or the way it's processed, probably not
organic?

I haven't seen the Dole product, just be sure the ingredients are pure
and not in latin.

Yeah, I only drink 100 percent juice, (and rarely drink juice, mix it with
rum in the blender, but still has to be 100 percent juice)
