Welcome, Abbey! I can tell you the tapes I like best: the Kathy Smith Timesaver
Workout (two 20-minute workouts that can also be combined into a single
40-minute workout), the Crunch Step tape ("Fat Blaster; the Next Step) with
Kendall Hogan (formerly of ESPN's Bodyshaping show) and Gin Miller's Reebok Step
(quite intense, though, and more advanced. I still haven't fully worked up to
being able to do all of the push-ups, turn drills, etc.). I also like Cathe's
tapes, but her choreography can get tricky and she doesn't make any tapes for
beginners. Also, she seems to have moved strictly to DVD so if you have only a
VCR, you are shut out of many of her tapes. Maybe save Gin and Cathe for a
couple of months into the program.
My .02. I'm sure others will chime in about other options and your other
questions.
