Hi Sandra. Welcome to the group!!!
I hear ya. I started at 303 and it took well over a year to reach my
goal weight. I stayed there for a few years. I hurt my shoulder
really bad and could not exercise. 2 years later I'm nearly back
where I started. As my doctor said, it was amazing how not being
able to lift weights translated in lifting the fork much more often :(
So, I'm starting the journey I've walked once before and trying to
remember I will continue down the path for the rest of my life.
Something that really helped me get started the first time was a
piece of advice I got from someone at the gym I worked out in the
first time. Take the first week and start exercising. Don't think
about the food that first week. Get comfortable going to the gym.
At that point, add the food in.
Some people need the big bang and change everything on the first
day. Others need to do it one piece at a time. I would not let the
transition drag out for more than a couple of weeks though.
Best of luck, or as Anita used to say,
10's!
Jeff

to a size 15/16 in just 4 weeks. I was then put on steriods for my
pneumonia and therefore gained weight. I am having trouble getting
starting again.

I don't want to push myself. Also, they don't rightly make gym
equipment that support ppl my weight. What can I do to start my work
out and be consistant?

this extra woman off my back. She is weighing me down and she want
more than I can give her. I want to lose at least 150lbs so that
woman on my back can go away.
