Thanks Carol, I was looking for Steve & Mariah's site too. Thanks for the
link. My fiance thinks that Trackers probably got hacked. It's a shame people
do that. His site for the World of Warcraft game got hack a couple months ago.
Luckily he had everything backed up. He says that if Tracker didn't back his
stuff up he could have lost everything. When and if he gets the site back up we
may have to reregister...start all over. I wish him the best with the site.
Well Carol, looks like you have some pretty well laid out goals. You are on
your way girl! 17lbs way to go great job. Yeah I posted some more photos up
last night. I still have a way to go too. My ultimate goal is to get down to
145 (which is extremely lite for me, I'm 5'10") and 15%BF. I haven't been that
lite since 9th grade, and I'm now 37. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! Best wishes, hope
your wishes come true...I know you can make them.

No clue but they are just gone! I would assume they are coming back,
though I don't know how they funded themselves? A good substitute for
the chatting is the Body For Life guestbook - click on Community from
the BFL site and select Guestbook. The Blogs are great, though they
have had technical difficulty last week too (maybe it is jealous non-
dieting gremlins trying to spoil our fun). I hear there is a place
called Body for Lifers.com or something too that folks have flocked to
but I can't get it to pull up in my browser. And Steve and Mariah Yu
have another site called BFLBuddies.com!
I started to post my photos here on this group in Yahoo but thought,
gasp, someone might KNOW me from Atlanta! So I haven't got the guts up
yet to post them here yet, especially my before pics, ewwww. I
finished my first Challenge last Monday and lost 17lbs, yay. I start
the second one Monday July 4th by running the Peachtree! I just hope I
make it and get a tshirt. The race that is, not a tshirt for the
second challenge! I want to win the million bucks for that one - or at
least feel like a million bucks! My next goals is to lower my body
fat into the TEENS before I turn 40!!! WOW lots of work to do for that
one! And I turn forty in week 10 of this challenge, hehehe.
And, for those interested, see the Tennessee BFL website (found under
Clubs from the BFL Community page) for more information about a
Champion's weekend in Knoxville in October. Over 8 Champions,
including our favorite local Champion Mariah Yu, will join other
BFLers from around the country for a weekend of fun and games. Sounds
like a nice time in the fall to head for the mountains, and a nice
goal to work toward on the next Challenge.
If anyone out there hasn't started a challenge yet this year, the last
day to enter is July 4th according to the website. What are you
waiting for? Take the before picture, tuck it away in your desk,
request the challenge packet, and just jump in! Time will fly by and
the weight will fall off, and you will get in shape - if you just
decide to start!
Here is a quote from Porter Freeman, paraphrased by Julie Whitt:
"If you haven't heard Porter Freeman speak, you should. He goes all
over the world sharing the message of health and hope. We live in a
world of instant gratification. I want it now! You want results now.
Porter in his wisdom shares an amazing story. His BFL transformation
occurred in the blink of an eye—not twelve weeks. I see it the same
way. See, once you've made up your mind to change, you have instant
results. Your body just needs twelve weeks to catch up. Or in my case,
probably another 52 weeks, but however long it takes to show, my
transformation occurred on 8/15/03. That's the day I made the promise
to myself to do this or die trying. That's the day I knew what I could
be and would be. Today is your day to transform. If you want it now,
you've got it!"
If you haven't read Julie's inspirational story, you have to wait
until the darn "tracker" is back up (http://www.bodyforlife-
tracker.com/). When it does magically reappear, check out her story
under Success Stories - if Julie can overcome her hurdles in life to
become a champion, I can certainly start another challenge!
Kudos to everyone for starting your next challenge, or for sticking
with your current challenge!
