Hi! I just wanted to introduce myself.
My name is Kaye and I live north of Atlanta. I have a husband and
2 children.
I was at the YMCA taking a fitness test one day and the young man who
gave the test suggested that I try BFL. I went to Target a few days
later and there was the BFL book. I bought it, took it home and read
it. I really liked the way everything was laid out. I thought it
sounded easy enough so I started the program. A few days later, I
quit. A few months go by and through prompting of my husband, I
started again. I quit about three weeks into it. Another few months
go by and I decided to try it again. I was in my third week and
feeling mighty discouraged because weight was not coming off as
quickly as I thought it would when Porter Freeman (from the original
challenge) came into town. I went to see him because I had a lot of
questions/concerns. I just knew there was going to be a huge crowd
and I was not going to be able to speak to him. Well, I could not
believe it when it was only me and another lady. We got to ask him
all our questions and he was so inspirational. I stuck to the
program and made it through 12-weeks! I consider the first month as
learning time. I had never lifted weights before in my life.
I have since finished another 12-weeks. I have stopped counting 12
week periods right now. I have a goal to lose the last 15 pounds
before January 22nd. I have been struggling as of late because I hit
a plateau and have not been able to get past it, but I keep trying!
I love the BFL program because it got me to do something. People ask
me if it is easy and I say that it is easy in the fact that the
infomation is all in the book, but it is sometimes hard to stay
motivated and I felt very awkward in the beginning.
Well, I think that is enough about me! Talk to you later.
Kaye
