Security and Confidentiality
Issue
Download issue no 58, Winter 2008-09This issue focuses on matters relating to the security and confidentiality of healthcare data. Nathan Lea, the guest editor, is a Research Fellow in CHIME, UCL and works with the Electronic Healthcare Records Group. The five contributors to this issue come from a range of professional backgrounds and offer their reflections on what steps are needed to safeguard patient information. These range from practical measures to protect information in distributed environments, to the debate about sharing patient data without consent, and musings about the boundaries in public and private in Ancient Greece. The authors would welcome feedback.
