Jeannette

I am very pleased to invite you and your colleagues to the Learning to Manage Health Information Conference in March 2009.

The details are:

Title: Learning to Manage Health Information: a conference for clinical educators
Date: 18th March 2009
Venue: Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, 27 Sussex Place, Regent's Park, London NW1 4RG, UK
Time: 10am to 4pm
Cost: FREE

This free NHS conference is for all educators and others interested in enabling students to utilise health information and technology effectively to enhance the quality of patient care and patient safety. The conference will provide you with the tools and ideas for bringing informatics competency into your programmes of learning.

The conference is a unique chance to meet others interested in this area, both educators and clinicians across all professions. You will find examples of good practice and be able to talk with people who can help support the embedding of informatics into clinical education programmes. It is an opportunity to become better informed and get involved in the ideas being discussed.

I enclose details of the day which includes a provisional programme. As you will see there is a wide spectrum of clinicians and educators from many different profession involved thus creating a unique and valuable day. The conference will also launch the revised version of Learning to Manage Health Information: a theme for clinical education. All participants will be provided with the updated document.

In addition, there will be several displays plus café conversations in the refreshment area where delegates will be able to discuss issues relating to their work. We will also be having a graffiti board and there is an invitation for all participants to bring information about their own work.

Please pass this email on to other colleagues who would be interested in the conference.
