28^th Annual Conference, 16^th – 18^th October 2008

The Primary Health Care Specialist Group of the British Computer Society is the main UK forum for computer developments and IT in primary health care.

 

This two day event will be held on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th October 2008 and the theme of this year’s conference is:-

‘Mind the Gap – maintaining the continuity of care’.

Increasingly, care is provided from a wide-range of professionals, often geographically remote from each other.  It is essential that each has access to the very best and up to date information about the patient for whom they provide.

The conference seeks to examine and review initiatives to 'join up' the provision of care across traditional boundaries and to look forward into how technology might provide resolutions to some of the problems information availability in support of shared care.
