In preparation for next week’s EPSRC Digital Economy
event from the eHealth+ Research Cluster, please note the following:
1.
The meeting will now start with an introduction, by
EPSRC, to the call for Digital Economy Research that is about to be
announced.
2.
Participants should bring at least one project idea as
a ‘mini-poster’, on A4. Project ideas will compete to
be part of a portfolio of complementary research that could form a
programme of research to improve health or healthcare in the Digital Economy.
3.
Those wishing to be reimbursed for travel (+/-
accommodation) expenses should fill-in and return the attached form to
Charlotte Hooson-Sykes (hoosonsc@...)
by close of play tomorrow, 11 July.
Looking forward to seeing you in Manchester next week,

The eHealthPlus cluster is addressing the problem of the
lack of preventative and early healthcare, and the related digital challenges
of providing personalised health information. Preventative medicine or early
treatment reduces the burden of disease for individuals and society. But,
healthcare services focus on later treatment, when care-needs are most acute.
Few services reach people before they become ill, to help reduce the risk of
developing disease, or to treat early disease to stop or delay it from turning
into illness.
