City's Centre for Health Informatics specialises in the application of
information science and communication technologies to all areas of healthcare.
We are expanding and refocusing our research and development activities and
courses, ensuring that we are well placed to contribute to developments
following the direction of national policy. We are looking for a suitably
qualified academic or professional to lead this work.
Candidates must have a PhD in Health Informatics or a closely related
discipline. You will demonstrate evidence of original research, with expertise
that includes electronic patient records, telecare, intelligent decision support
systems and issues associated with measurement and data quality in healthcare.
Lecturing, tutoring and supervisory experience at post-graduate level is also
essential as is excellence in leadership of staff and students in research.
