You are invited to register for a one day online workshop in e-health on Friday May 4th 2007. The registration fee is £20 (cheques to be sent by post). Online registration and more details are at http://www.chiirup.org.uk/workshop/
The aim of the day is to give participants an understanding of what is meant by e-health and some of the topical issues. E-health is a broad subject so this one day workshop will focus mainly on how information and communication technologies (ICT) can be used to support patient groups and communities.
Although this is a live interactive workshop you do not need to go anywhere. It will be presented through the use of webcasting and simultaneous chat rooms, so you can participate from your desktop computer. The format of this event is like a typical one day ‘workshop’, so there will be opportunity for break out groups, for meeting people over coffee, as well as seminar style presentations.
The three main presenters are Professor Ray Jones and Drs Maged Kamel Boulos and Inocencio Maramba.
We will remain flexible in our timetable and consult with attendees in the lead-in to the workshop and may make changes if there is consensus to do so. However, the likely timetable is (UK summer time):
