Subject: IT Education for the Medical Profession

Dear All

My apologies for sending (another) round robin at this time of year but the

good news is that this one contains no jokes, festive greetings or HTML

script!

I've just been appointed to a new role as Clinical Education Manager at

Connecting for Health, in which my role is to develop an IT training

strategy for the medical profession at both undergraduate and postgraduate

level.

I'm therefore getting in touch with as many people as possible, in both

primary and secondary care, to solicit their views in a number of areas. But

one of my difficulties is that I have a limited list of contacts, I want to

consult as widely as possible, and (no surprise!) I only have a limited time

in which to work.

This is where you come in - by circulating this news in around the health

informatics and education communities I hope to forge links with the people

I don't yet know about, yet who have an important part to play in this

process, especially in secondary care and at the academic institutions.

Please feel free to get in touch with me directly or to pass on this

information to those whom you think should be involved in this opportunity. 

It may be I have already contacted you personally (or am about to do so) but

please don't feel constrained by any potential overlap!
