We are seeking a research fellow to work with the UCL CHIME PEGASUS team funded by the NHS Sickle Cell & Thalassaemia Screening Programme. This Programme aims to `establish high quality newborn screening programmes for sickle cell disorders, and antenatal screening programmes for sickle cell and thalassaemia'.
PEGASUS will develop and implement the multidisciplinary training needed to support the Programme. The UCL team's emphasis is on coordinating e-learning.
The ideal candidate will have a graduate qualification in health or behavioural sciences and interest in genetics, with a competence in using and delivering training in information technology and excellent communication skills. The main task of the research fellow will be to work with relevant members of PEGASUS to ensure that their information and training materials conform to the agreed content and technical formats. There will be opportunities to be involved in relevant research.
The appointment will be on the Academic non clinical Research grade, point 11 £27116 plus £2,330 London Allowance. Duration is 2 years full time but with the flexibility of a part-time appointment for 3 years.
