Knowing Your Patient Inside Out

A City University/City Livery Companies Healthcare Technologies Symposium

Theme: This Symposium is the latest in a series of events focusing on current issues in healthcare technologies. The aim is to create a forum in which a number of experts will discuss new technological developments, from a wide range of perspectives, which offer the potential to enhance the organisation and delivery of health care.

The theme for 2005 will be medical imaging. New developments are enhancing opportunities for screening, diagnosis and patient monitoring, as well as evolving applications in image-guided surgery and telemedicine. A panel of eminent speakers will outline some of the clinical developments and technological challenges, ethical issues and economic questions that arise with such technological advance. Advances in medical imaging impact on patient, healthcare professional and health manager and policy maker alike.

-          Professor Richard Kitney (Professor of Biomedical Systems Engineering at Imperial College)
