February 9, 2005
London
HL7UK is running a FREE one day conference focused on the requirements (and the challenges) of developing interfaces between existing systems, LSP reference solutions and NPfIT National Applications.
The conference is aimed specifically at NHS informatics professionals and clinicians who are playing a lead role in developing integrated healthcare systems within their local healthcare communities.
The conference will aim to cover the following topics:
· What is HL7?
· What is HL7UK?
· An introduction to HL7 version 3
· An introduction to the NPfIT HL7v3 Message Implementation Manual
· Sharing experiences of developing HL7 interfaces in the NHS
· What are the challenges for P1R1 integration?
· How will local PAS interfaces be maintained once existing systems are moved to a reference solution housed in a remote LSP data centre?
· What are the challenges for P1R2 integration - HL7v3 and linking departmental systems to the Spine?
· What happens next, how can I get more involved in HL7UK and the NHS HL7 implementation group?
HL7UK has agreed to fund this conference so attendance will be free of charge.
There are a limited number of places, and applications will be accepted on a first come first serve basis.
