Subject: Richard Granger Interview Tonight
SPECIAL BULLETIN FOR MEMBERS OF THE HEALTH INFORMATICS
COMMUNITY
www.informatics.nhs.uk
Dear All
You may be interested to know that Richard Granger,
head of the National Programme for IT, will be taking
part in tonight's edition of the BBC Radio 4 programme
'In Business'.
If you would like to tune in, the programme will be
broadcasted at 8.30pm and will be repeated on Sunday
evening, at 9.30pm.
The programme will focus on what technology can do for
healthcare, for example what NPfIT is trying to achieve,
and what the vision of NHS IT will be after NPfIT is
complete. It will also be looking at IT investment in
the NHS in the widest context - for example what benefits
it will have to patients, clinicians and the NHS as a
whole.
The programme will include interviews from a range of
other people, including Tim Smart, CEO of BT Syntegra,
Cecilia Pyper, an Oxfordshire-based GP, Leslie Stretch,
VP and MD of Sun Microsystems, and various spokespeople
from Wolverhampton NHS Trust.
I hope you find this information useful.
Kind regards,
Conor Moody
