Hi all,
I have a colleague in the United States Department of Health and Human Services'
Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) who is interested in looking
at the role of IT and patient outcomes.
For me, looking at the role of IT and patient outcomes would be an extremely
exciting project - not only for all of the obvious reasons, but also to aid in
the process to make Health/Medical Informatics (HI) a "professional" discipline.
I'm sure that hard evidence showing the correlation between IT and patient
outcomes would aid this tremendously.
Does anybody know of this type of work already being carried out or whether
anyone has any data that could be useful for the project?
Best wishes,
Michael.
