Dear Becky, How did your appointments go? Any news?
The post polio clinic around here is 2 hours away, so I haven't been
there yet either. Glad you found something about Feldenkrais though. I
hope you will get some help and improvement soon. It is much better with
private lessons...
Outlets are fun, but it is exhausting to go see them. They do tend to
have benches to rest on. We have a place called the Great Mall, in
Milpitas, about 30 minutes away. It is huge because it used an old auto
assembly plant. They have massage chairs where you put in $1 for a one
minute massage! It feels good, but then I have to un-relax to get myself
moving again. I don't get there often.
My mom hurt her back, but she is getting better. She is getting really
good at using her walker (finally after years of working with her!) She
still decides where she wants to go with it. After you find out which
stores you like, it will be easier.
There is an outlet mall here in Gilroy, about an hour away. It was one
of the earlier ones. It has 4 sections now with drive up parking and many
handicap spots. I would rather go there than to the closer Great Mall
that is so much walking with parking far away from the stores.
Fortunately I can still fit some my old clothes (which are wearing out!)
so I don't HAVE to go shopping yet.
I used to sew my own clothes, but then Wal*Mart had comfortable ones at
good prices. They also don't make the materials I used to use any more
either. I had black vertically quilted cotton pants for winter for many
years. Now too many people want fleece or polyester or colorful pastel
quilted patterns that are not so good for pants. I have been colder this
year... Take Care,
Sharis
