38 New Messages - New Questions

Description

This is a peer support group for people who have been diagnosed with hypertension and who are undergoing medically-supervised treatment. Treatment can include antihypertensive medications as well as dietary (such as low sodium) and/or lifestyle modifications (such as weight loss, exercise, etc.).
Questions related to common non-pharmaceutical supplements are acceptable, but promotion of unproven alternative medicines in lieu of medical and lifestyle treatment is not the focus of this group. A hypertension specialist is available to provide guidance and answer more technical questions as they arise. New subscribers are welcome at all times, and can be assured of a civil environment in which to ask questions or discuss hypertension issues.

DISCLAIMER: Any advice given within this group, medical or otherwise, must be considered as information which you should discuss with your own doctor. Do not, under any circumstances, attempt any self-treatment of hypertension or change any medications without the direct knowledge and approval of your physician.
