Dr. Grim has been practicing high blood pressure care and research for 35 years.
He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics. He has published over 250 articles covering every aspect of high blood pressure research and care including: blood pressure measurement training and standardization, the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system, stress, secondary causes of high blood pressure and diagnosis, genetics of blood pressure control systems using twins (from the US, the Caribbean, and India), and differences in blood pressure between African and Western Hemisphere blacks.
Treatment can include antihypertensive medications as well as dietary, ie, low sodium, and/or lifestyle modifications, ie, weight loss, exercise.
Questions related to common non-pharmaceutical supplements are acceptable. A hypertension specialist is available to provide guidance and answer more technical questions as they arise. New subscribers are welcome at all times, and can be assured of a civil environment in which to ask questions or discuss hypertension issues.
