There is so much mis-information regarding Black hair, I decided to provide a way to get correct answers. I am a second generation beauty professional. My mother was a cosmetologist on the island of Trinidad. Miss Pearl owned a beauty school and made her own beauty products. My career began as the associate beauty editor of Essence magazine. I went on to work at hair care giant, Johnson Products Company. Later I developed Sophisticates Black Hair Styles and Care Guide and went on to work in television as a beauty expert.
