The mission of the Birth Options Alliance is to assist expectant women and families in the Capital area by providing evidence-based information about pregnancy, childbirth and parenting and advocating for accessibility of a full range of caregiver and birth location options.

We have transformed from the Takoma Park Birthing Circle as the community has become committed to supporting midwifery through advocacy action since the closings of the Takoma Women's Health Center and the Maternity Center in the spring of 2007.


In addition to this work we will continue to hold monthly Birth Salons at the Takoma Park Presbyterian Church on the FOURTH SUNDAY of each month from 4:30 to 6:30pm (310 Tulip Ave, Takoma Park, MD 20912 at the corner of Tulip and Maple Aves -- use the First Floor entrance on Maple Ave)

Birth Options Alliance activities and listserv are open to anyone wishing to support birth options for women and learn more about pregnancy and childbirth.
