I am not sure what your last post means - "the first one was the Edwards group"
- but I reviewed the scientific literature on voice analysis and there is a long
and rich scientifc tradition here. Bill Meyer did an admirable job of
documenting the historical IP in an effort to dispute Sharry Edwards' overblown
claims. Many of the underlying concepts of energy medicine can be traced to
ancient sources.

I attempted to work with SE when I was Research Director of an NIH-funded CAM
Center here at UVA (1995-1999). Our legal dept. literally laughed out loud in
reviewing her proposed agreement re: IP. And those guys are not a jovial lot.
Ridiculous is ridiculous. Sharry once explained to me that her brain is
organized to simply refuse simple logic. That is one assertion of hers that
truly had merit. This is not to say she did not contribute a lot, just that she
is off the wall in her intellectual property claims.

I have done a good deal of FFT voice analysis with software designed according
to UVA engineering specs and written by Neuroscan. I recall a conversation with
Marysol many years ago in which I explained the concept of the Fo or Fundamental
Frequency. It is probable that she does not recall this and that is not
important. This concept goes back at least to the fifties in the context of
acoustic research in psycholonguistics.

Marysol - I LOVE your art history. Thanks so much for taking the time to share
it with us. Your generosity of spirit is an inspiration, as usual.
