I would like to talk about this and have any comments from any of you on the
technology we use to do voice analysis. I am not going to talk about the
software available, because I do not want interpretation of competition, as
could have been understood in the past, when I talked about this. I believe it
is everyone´s synchronicity and decision to buy one software or another, and
having little information will not help to make good decissions.

I would like to address more the issue on SOUND CARDS and MICROPHONES:

SOUND CARDS
During the last 14 years that I am researching vibrational diagnostic tools and
12years with voice analysis I had the chance to use many computers with many
different sound cards, passed wavfile recorded and analysed with one soundcard
and pass it to another computer with a different brand of soundcard, aswell as
opened the wav and analised it with several different soundcards and computers.
RESULTS ALWAYS REMAINED EXACTLY THE SAME. Of course this research was done with
the Biosonic System, Spectra Pro, CooEdit, STS, and I even managed to open
wavfiles from the SA and BioTuner, or other Chromatic and FFT software that
allowed the function of OPEN WAVS. Changes would appear in the different
softwares tested that could drive us crazy and be descredited, and only tested
the software that allowed to open wavfiles, but changes did not appear in the
different sound cards or computers if the resolution was not changed, meaning
that if a wavfile recorded at 22500hz would be resized to 44100hz the results
would show differences, because of more resolution, with more or less
significant changes, but if the resolution remained the same all soundcards
would give the same result. Taking into account clean recordings with no
interference from the mother board of the computer.

MICROPHONES
Different microphones however can show small or drastic changes, even in a
chromatic analysis of notes. I have used many different microphones too when I
was focused into only chromatic analysis, even if there could be differences
with microphone I tried from other persons or with not the right specifications
of dynamic, unidirectional and start at 50hz, or lower even 30hz. With my
voice, more than several thousands recordings of my voice the pattern of low and
high musical notes would remain, even if at times of enthusiasm I was able to
reverse the pattern temporarily for some time. Eventhough after all the heavy
health issues that I have gone throughthese last years with Leukemia and
2Transplants, my voice has done a big change that is now not transitory, but
more permanent. Much younger and healthier voice I have now.

All of these changes in the voice has made me specialized in understanding the
changes in the voice through COHERENCE analysis, which is only developed fully
in the ProManual, available mostly for my students. Temporary or transitory
changes are valued as COHERENCE and INCOHERENCE, that is geared to teach the
computer to do the analysis for us, and be able to compare a previous session to
another after sound therapy, or any comparison or interpretations that would
depend on this,,,as an example.

Meanwhile with FFT analysis as the BiosonicFFT software that reaches 11000hz,
the changes from one microphone to another is drastic, on top of finding some
microphones with defects just in the range where the Harmonic Signature should
be, and after testing, buying and returning many. I haveTested many, many
microphones from many brands and then ,even finding much much more of the
complete instability of our technology due to microphones, I have contacted
persons in major Mic manufacturing houses for help, and sent them graphics of
what these mics do.

At the end of this month I will be offered a studio in the spanish
representative of AKG in Madrid, and then also another day with Sennheiser, to
test all the microphones they have on stock to help me decipher what is going
on, because they are all very curious on what we are doing... So next month
maybe I have more information to share with all of you. But please, let me know
your knowledge on all of this, because if you have stayed with one microphone
that you liked or gave you good results, you have never let uncertainty to come
into your quest. Yes it is big hassle to get into all this, but if no one does
it, we will never know about it, and never know how to solve it.
