Hello everyone again,
I have talked to you about microphones and have talked about AKG D550 which is
the one I use for the FFT. ANd also I have tried measurements condenser mic
Behringer ecm8000. Well, not only we need a Phantom Power 48v to function with
our computers with condenser mics, but it will not show the Harmonic
Signature.... Of course I am talking about software for voice analysis that
reaches de 11khz range, if not many mics would work ok. What we are looking is
at high frequencies and the Mics response. Behringer ECM8000 even if is an
excelent mic for measurement with a flat frequency response will not work for
our purpose. It falls away in the region of the Harmonic SIgnature. I still
have not found a good substitute for the AKG D550 bass drum mic that has a 10db
increase from 3 to 8khz at least. This mic has been discontinued manufacturing,
even though maybe we have found enough to supply the students for the internet
course.
I have tested more than 10 special mics, condenser mics and dynamic mics. None
do what the AKG D550 does.
If any of you want to enter the research with me,, write to me and I will send
you the frequency specifications. Or if any of you would know of a similar mic
please let me know and send me the specificationa and Graph of Frequency
response. And I will send you to your email the specs of this one.
I still have to try some other drums, flat response except an increase of 8% in
that frequency range.
I still hope there should be another brand that would serve our purpose.

Why look at the Harmonic Signature?????
Because is the most stable frequency peaks and stringers we can find in the
voice,, probably is a karmic condition and a chronic situation. It appears one
and again, even if the musical notes, stressed or low are different., high
excited voice or low depressed voice.. This is the enveloping enclosure of the
harmonics stemming from our resonant box of mouth, teeth and tongue. Voice
recognition specialists know about it, but their actual job is more that our
voice and commands are understood by computer technology. The only other
interested in the Harmonic Signature are the police, because even if one muffles
and changes the voice, the Harmonic SIgnatue will be there. IT IS THE WAVEFORM
BELONGING TO THE ENERGY AND PECULIARITY OF A PERSON.
Anyway, I hope this is of interest for all of you,,, I cannot say much more
because that will only given out to my students.
