** Call for VOLUNTEERS for a Focus Group for The California
Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco
on a Voice, Sound and Music Healing Certificate

(if interested, respond by next Tuesday, 3/29)

Purpose: CIIS is assessing the possible creation of a Certificate on
Voice, Sound and Music Healing. We need volunteers to participate in a Focus
Group
which will gather people's insights and responses to several marketing and
related
questions about the Certificate.
Drawing from the wisdom of indigenous shamanic and ancient Eastern
and Western traditions of healing with sound, this certificate could provide an
in-depth study of the cultural use of the voice, chanting, and the music to
transform
consciousness and create healing. The certificate will be based upon the work of
prominent music and sound therapists. For voice and sound healing background

How will the information be used?: The Focus Group responses to our
questions will help us do 2 things: a) it will enable us to determine if the
Certificate
is a viable option for CIIS to pursue and b) what type of format and content of
the
certificate that will be of the most interest for participants. The focus group
will be audio-
taped, the participants' anonymity maintained completely and all comments will
be
compiled as a group.

Focus Group Location and Date:

Date: Saturday, April 2nd
Time: 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

12:45 - 1:00 p.m. - Register and Enjoy Refreshments
1:00 - 1:30 p.m. - Voice and Sound Healing experience
1:30 - 4:00 p.m. - Focus Group inquiry

Place: CIIS Main Building, San Francisco
(Directions will be sent to you, after you are confirmed as a
volunteer)

Who can Participate?: We need people who are from specific interest
and experience areas for this Focus Group. If you are one of these people,
please
volunteer - we need your input. See the list of complimentary benefits below.

- Psychotherapists and healthcare practitioners: body-workers,
nurses, MDs, hospice caregivers, psychologists, MFTs, LCSWs.
- Musicians, singers, sound and voice practitioners, music therapists and music
educators.
- Yoga practitioners, meditators, teachers, as well as those with
interest in personal growth.

Benefits of being a Volunteer for the Focus Group:
All Focus Group Volunteers will receive:

1) A complimentary session of Healing with Sound and Voice with
Silvia Nakkach before the Focus Group begins.
2) Free admission to a Friday Night Lecture in the Public Programs of
the CIIS Life Long Learning Program.
3) A complimentary CD compilation of voice and sound healing,
produced by Vox Mundi.
