The following exchange was posted to Truthsound and I thought it shsould
actually be posted to Biosonic...so am posting it here now...Georgia
Hello Marysol....
Sorry to hear of your accident! I know you will have great cranial sacral
therapy. I have used various things in the past with both smokers and other
addictions (marijuana, percodan, etc.). What I have noticed with nicotine is
that the amino acids are really out. All of the endorphans (endogenous opiates)
produced naturally by the body act on the same receptors as all the addictng
substances that create short-term euphoria. The endorphans are all polypeptide
chains, i.e. sequences of amino acids, that are approaching 300 aminos each
in various sequences.
So if people are not digesting proteins and suffer from amino deficiency,
they are certainly going to suffer from endorphan deficiency and will attempt to
self-medicate in some fashion. Research has shown that nicotine, in
particular, seems to create a brain chemistry that allows the smoker to "step
back"
from whatever emotional/stressful reality is presenting and throw up a wall,
i.e.
precipitous detachment.. This will often indicate an alternating depletion
of serotonin and over-abundance of it creating a "too stimulating" then "not
safe enough" reality. Interestingly, that is one hypothesis of autism now.
So Serotonin and possibly hydroxy-tryptophan (5-htp...precursor to
serotonin), will also be out in the voice. Other important factors in
converting
tryptophan to hydroxy-tryptophan to serotonin are folate (folic acid), iron,
calcium, B3, B6, zinc, magnesium, and Vit. C. I have created frequency
conifgurations with serotonin, melatonin, and gotten people on amino acids,
folic acid,
etc. and found that they were able to take on the process of backing off from
nicotine and the need for detachment as they nurtured their brain chemistry and
metabolism. Sometimes I have used the detox frequency and other times not.
Yesterday I attended a drumming circle also with didgeridoos, percussion
instruments, and bells that we have every few weeks and it certainly helps every
system in the body and creates a sense of flowing connection. I think embeddng
the nicotine and its detox in the music is very clever and should do
something quite interesting and pleasing to a neurology struggling to find the
right
balance between self-other-between. When people nourish their brains with
compassion rather than the shock of cold turkey, they also learn to create
compassion for others rather than the safety of rigid detachment.

From Lauren:
How about GABA, Nicotine breaks down GABA (the valium neurotransmitter) and I
think this is why people go back to smoking after they have quit. Greg and I
quit this summer and have done well on the supplement replacement GABA.

From Carmen:
Dear Georgia,
Thank you very much for the link (and of course the text) for Concepts.1.
Unfortunately, although I was able to download it, I could not print it. I think
there might be a problem with the figure of the Phytagorean scale in page 41.
Blessings

Hi Carmen....I'm not such a good techie person, but we'll see what we can
find out that might help you print. There are always lots of possibilites for
glitches with printing and we certainly want you to be able to read this
treatment of the history of the infrastructure modalities of sound healing.as it
is
an important basis of shared knowledge for the sound healing community. Like
any field, we need to know our history and the creative and often heroic
efforts of those historical figures who gave us our fundamental knowledge, and
therefore technical, base. Keeping knowledge in the public domain is critical
to
our field flourishing. It is such a wonderful and deeply human field that it
should be given every chance to flourish.
Lauren....Yes GABA is a good choice. First it is an amino acid, and is
derived from the amino acid Glutamic Acid. GABA can be taken for the same
purposes
as Valium and Librium, to calm excitatory neuron activity by slowing down
neuron firing which is what nicotine does...giving that detachment response.
But
GABA is non-addictive. Taken with inositol and niacinamide (B vitamins), it
reduces anxiety by occuping the receptor sites that excitatory
neurotransmitters occupy. It is also helpful for ADD, enlarged prostate, hyper
tension, and
epilepsy.
When nicotine occupies receptor sites it reduces neuronal firing, thus
reducing anxiety from overfiring. Anything that reduces anxiety in the
short-term
has a high probability of being used again very quickly, the latency period
determining the potency of the addiction (short latency = higher addictive
quality). When you use a natural neurotransmitter to calm excitatory firing
you
are "feeding your head" rather than the addicition.
The only caution with it is that it can be taken in too high a dosage and
then can cause anxiety, shortness of breath, and numbness around the mouth. I
still believe in taking all the aminos together because they act synergistically
in energetic causal cascades, like the B vitamins, several of which are
critical to synthesizing aminos and the nucleic acids from which the proteins
are
built. By taking them together you ensure a higher potential for all the
energetic "handshakes" to be reinforced. Congratulations on your success with
getting off nicotine.
Best to all...Georgia
From Lauren:
read the Korean research on using nicotine to break down gaba in place of
gaba transaminase, I use a combo gaba-inositol, niacinamide with my autistic
kids who need gaba or gaba T. Lauren
