On Sunday, December 3, UC Davis staff, students and City of Davis
employees are invited to visit the Folsom History Museum to view the
special exhibition, "Cycling Through History: Bikes, Trails and
People".

The exhibit features eighteen examples from the Pierce Miller

UC Davis and is the nucleus of what is planned to be a major bicycle
museum in Davis. The exhibit also showcases the history of the American
River Bike Trail, one of our region's premiere cycling facilities. The
32-mile trail between Sacramento and Folsom was originally built in
1896
by members of the Capital City Wheelmen, an early cycling club the
Sacramento region.
Join the UC Davis Institute for Transportation Engineers for a group
bicycle ride from Davis (and Sacramento) to the museum. Lunch will be
provided. Optional light rail/bus connections for return trip. Riders
leaving from Davis should meet at Central Park, 8 a.m., for a 40 mile
