It would be nice to see more of these kinds of projects in the area. I don't know how you get these close enough to suburban sprawl to make projects like this cost effective without people having to jump in their cars anyway. Unfortunately, I think the real solution was to not build the sprawl in the first place. =)

A visionary transportation system for the future needs
to focus less on inefficient SOV's ("Single Occupancy
Vehicles") and more on an integrated system of buses,
trains, bikes, peds etc that will have the added
benefit of reducing the stress of driving (or standing
in a traffic jam).
This by the way is the reason is why organizations
such as CBC (California Bicycle Advocates) are
opposing Proposition 1B - it gives most of the funds
