thanks a lot for speaking at the Transportation
Committee meeting last week.
You made some excellent points. And I really like your
bottom line:

"We need to move people, not cars"

A visionary transportation system for the future needs
to focus less on inefficient SOV's ("Single Occupancy
Vehicles") and more on an integrated system of buses,
trains, bikes, peds etc that will have the added
benefit of reducing the stress of driving (or standing
in a traffic jam).

This by the way is the reason is why organizations
such as CBC (California Bicycle Advocates) are
opposing Proposition 1B - it gives most of the funds
